Northern Wisconsin Adventure Trail

Postby Cannonshot » Sat Jan 18, 2014 2:42 am

The 950 mile Northern Wisconsin Adventure Trail passes through Boulder Junction. Boulder Junction is one of the scheduled overnight stops and may be a good location from which to start and finish the ride.

Stormy Kromer Factory Tour

Postby Cannonshot » Tue Dec 22, 2015 10:37 pm

This 108 mile loop takes you from Boulder along a variety of great roads to ride and points of interest as part of a trip to the Stormy Kromer Factory Tour. http://www.stormykromer.com/form.asp?f_ ... DB657E2A0D

There are a few other points of interest waypointed along the route like a side trip to the top of Mount Zion in Ironwood.

Check the Kromer website link above to confirm the free tour times. Generally they are Monday through Friday at 1:30PM.

After the tour, stop at Freddies on Silver Street in Hurley for a great steak sandwich.

Babefield Run - Boulder

Postby Cannonshot » Thu Dec 24, 2015 12:02 am

Tracks that take people to Bayfield. Nice routes to follow for a trip to visit Madeline Island.

Yellow track is a highway route that is 108 miles long.

Magenta track is a new mild dual sport route for those that don't want to pound the highway the entire way. The mild DS route is 123 miles.

The segments adapted from the Northern Wisconsin Adventure Trail are there for the people that want a small/medium DS route that is more challenging. There are three bailouts on the route to Bayfield in case people get behind schedule. The path there is 204 miles and the path back is 223 miles.

I also included a track to Aerostich in the event someone wants to ride from Bayfield to the 'stich. It is 87 miles long.
